Juan Carlos Barrón is probably one of the authorities strengthen on the Brand Presentation at point of sales through Store Implementation, Retail Marketing and Visual Merchandising activities.
After beginning his retail career as a summer-sales boy in Pull & Bear, Juan Carlos soon travel to London to improve his english and study a degree in Visual Merchandising and Space Management at the London College of Fashion.
Juan Carlos went on to join Inditex in 1997 like assembler and DIY of the decoration of the windows, election styling, dress mannequins and defining the window details. He opened 75 Zara new stores throughout France and reporting to management. In Paris he study Window dressing and Health and safety policy to retail Business courses.
In Madrid he worked as a fashion stylist of Suso Godas photographer. He learned stling photography skills and technique theories in a fashion context. He learned the importance of a creative portfolio and he studies short courses of infogrphie like 3D Studio Max, Live Interior 3D Pro, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator…
His foresight and unique knowledge of brands, retail trends and consumer insights prompted him to launch Exhibo (2003) when he saw a need for integrated and creative brand communication & merchandising in the retail, fashion, luxury and beauty sectors. Under Juan Carlos guidance, Exhibo has created category challenging branding, marketing, Windows-displaying, visual merchandising and training for a wide range of brands on the high street including Urban Outfitters, Lladró, Fun & Basics, Inside Shops, Zara and Chanel.
In 2006 Juan Carlos was commissioned to write a daily blog/fotolog –Secrets of exhibitionists! – reviewing the state of the store world’s most impact window-displays.
In London he’s coming back to study at St. Martin's College. The first, Visual Merchandising for Interiors & Decor Display with practices for The Conran Shop, Habitat & Zara Home. On the second course, Event Design, he made the design of the openning party-show of Helio Oiticica exhibition into the Tate Gallery hall.
September 2007 saw the beginning of Juan Carlos Visual Merchandising freelance Consulting: Design and production Branding & VM planning, in-store implementation and visual image of the brand (dressing, displays and signage) and Merchandising.
Some months ago, JC became Master teacher on Window Display & Visual Merchandising at Istituto Europeo di Design, Madrid.
