BARRONVISUAL

PROGRAM · FOUNDATION

This online window display course is designed for 2027, not for twenty years ago: composition, light, colour and campaign calendar with the same method I've applied at Zara/Inditex and Chanel, plus an exclusive module on the schools of London, New York, Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing that no other course teaches.

Window Display
Killer

A program designed to turn storefronts into systems of impact, visual memory and commercial conversion.

Storefront designed with the Window Display Killer method

Context

The problem isn't a lack of creativity. It's the absence of structured judgment.

Most storefronts are designed to look attractive, but not to work as real devices for capturing attention, being read and driving action.

When visual merchandising stops at aesthetics, it loses its commercial power. It has an impact for a few seconds, but leaves no memory, doesn't direct attention and doesn't trigger purchase intent.

This program introduces a different logic: storefronts understood as systems of perception and performance, not as visual decoration.

What's included

Composition basics

The visual triangle, the rule of thirds and the types of storefront by store format: the same method applied at Zara/Inditex and Chanel.

Phygital storefronts and augmented reality

Real cases from Daktronics, POP MART's webAR and Gentle Monster's Robotics Lab.

Sustainability applied to set-building

Dior deadstock, biodegradable mannequins from Stella McCartney and Bonaveri, and modular cardboard as a real working material.

The WindowsWear Awards standard

The WindowsWear Awards 2026, category by category, with the same parallel an Awwwards jury draws for award-winning web design.

Storefronts from The New York Times' Truth campaign

Who it's for

Designers, visual merchandisers, brands and retailers who no longer want to decorate: they want to direct perception.

It's for you if

  • You want to move from decorating storefronts to designing them with a repeatable method, not scattered intuition.
  • You work in a store, studio or brand and need to defend your visual decisions with judgment.
  • You want to understand phygital storefronts, augmented reality and sustainability applied to set-building, not just classic aesthetics.
  • You want a solid foundation in composition before making the leap to Styling Avanzado.

It's not for you if

  • You're looking for templates to copy without understanding the judgment behind them.
  • You already master composition, lighting and set-building at an advanced level (better suited: Styling Avanzado or Retail Design Estratégico).
  • You don't work and won't be working with physical space or storefronts (better suited: Visual Merchandising 2.0, built for eCommerce).

Who teaches the course

Juan Carlos Barrón García

Juan Carlos Barrón García.

More than 28 years moving between the storefront, the store, the website, the data (KPIs) and the systems. Trained at London College of Fashion, Central Saint Martins and Bocconi. Direct experience at Zara, Chanel, Lladró, Galeries Lafayette and international luxury and local retail environments.

Every lesson is built, recorded and reviewed by him personally, with the same judgment he applies to his own Studio and Consulting projects. A critical, cutting-edge eye. Staying at the forefront of this industry and sharing his knowledge with everyone has always been his priority, ever since he started sharing, for free and for anyone to see, photos of the storefronts of London, Paris and Madrid on Facebook for many years. Here and now, he shares all of his knowledge and vision as well.

Frequently asked questions

Before you buy.

What's the difference between a course, a Master Class and the 1-to-1 session?+

A course develops a specific skill from start to finish, window display design for example. A Master Class goes deeper into a specific topic at a more demanding level. The virtual 1-to-1 session is live, personalized advice on your specific case, with no fixed syllabus.

Do I need prior experience to take the Academia courses?+

Not for the introductory programs, which are designed for people starting out in visual merchandising or window display design. The more advanced programs, like Retail Performance Intensive, do assume prior knowledge of the craft.

Are the Academia courses online?+

Yes, all Academia BARRONVISUAL courses and Master Classes are online, accessible from anywhere. The 1-to-1 session is delivered live over video call.

Do the courses come with a certificate?+

Yes, every course and Master Class includes a completion certificate once the program is finished. It's issued by MariTere Retail School, our school of courses for store employees run in collaboration with BARRONVISUAL, and signed by Juan Carlos Barrón. It isn't downloaded automatically: you need to request it at info@barronvisual.com after finishing the course with at least 65% of the final exam passed.
