MASTER CLASS · STYLING & STORYTELLING
This advanced styling course works on the detail that separates a correct storefront from a memorable one: hierarchy around a single hero piece, honest materials and the aesthetic currents defining 2026, from The Row's quiet luxury to Neo Deco.

Styling
Avanzado
The art of telling stories with product and mannequins. A MASTER CLASS to turn styling into a sales tool, not just aesthetics.

Context
A well-dressed mannequin sells nothing. A mannequin that tells a story does.
In-store styling is often treated as an aesthetic task: combining garments, adjusting mannequins, taking care of folding. But the styling that actually sells is the one that builds an aspirational look and nudges the customer toward cross-selling without them perceiving it as a sale.
Styling Avanzado teaches you to use product and mannequin as narrative tools: every combination tells a story the customer wants to be the protagonist of, and that story is what opens the door to cross-selling.

This training is for those who already master technical set-up and need to make the leap to styling with commercial intent.

System
Three levels of styling with commercial intent.
01
Aspirational looks
How to build product combinations the customer wants to take home complete, not piece by piece.
02
Strategic folding
Folding, dummy and presentation techniques that communicate quality and care without needing text or signage.
03
Visual cross-selling
How to position complementary product within the styling itself to trigger cross-selling naturally.

What's included
Hero piece composition
How to choose and subordinate the rest of the set-up to a single hero piece, with the judgment of MaxMara and Icicle styling teams.
Honest materials
Stone, wood, untreated metal and textiles with real texture, versus synthetic finishes that break the sense of quality up close.
Colour and trend forecast
The Row's quiet luxury and the resurgence of Neo Deco, with the same forecast WGSN publishes annually for 2026.
Dopamine decor and maximalism
When a busy set-up works and when it doesn't, with purchase-behaviour data from Retail Week and the Journal of Retailing.

Who it's for
Visual merchandisers and fashion professionals who already master set-up and want to elevate their styling into a sales tool.
It's for you if
- You already master the technical set-up of a storefront and want to make the leap to the styling detail that decides whether it conveys real quality.
- You want to understand trend forecasting (WGSN) and apply it to mannequins, materials and colour.
- You're looking for the judgment to justify why a maximalist set-up works (or doesn't), backed by data, not just intuition.
It's not for you if
- You don't yet master basic storefront composition and set-up (start with Window Display Killer).
- You're looking for a fashion or runway course, not a point-of-sale one.
Position in the system
Styling Avanzado is the final layer of visual execution: the detail that turns a well-designed storefront into a story the customer wants to buy whole.

Frequently asked questions
Before you buy.
What's the difference between a course, a Master Class and the 1-to-1 session?+
A course develops a specific skill from start to finish, window display design for example. A Master Class goes deeper into a specific topic at a more demanding level. The virtual 1-to-1 session is live, personalized advice on your specific case, with no fixed syllabus.
Do I need prior experience to take the Academia courses?+
Not for the introductory programs, which are designed for people starting out in visual merchandising or window display design. The more advanced programs, like Retail Performance Intensive, do assume prior knowledge of the craft.
Are the Academia courses online?+
Yes, all Academia BARRONVISUAL courses and Master Classes are online, accessible from anywhere. The 1-to-1 session is delivered live over video call.
Do the courses come with a certificate?+
Yes, every course and Master Class includes a completion certificate once the program is finished. It's issued by MariTere Retail School, our school of courses for store employees run in collaboration with BARRONVISUAL, and signed by Juan Carlos Barrón. It isn't downloaded automatically: you need to request it at info@barronvisual.com after finishing the course with at least 65% of the final exam passed.
